James C. Sell founded the CPA firm in 1981; since its inception the firm has evolved into James C. Sell, P.C. and provides the following services:  Forensic accounting, expert witness services, receiverships, e-discovery, business valuations, litigation support and other accounting services.  James C. Sell, P.C. has handled and has extensive experience in securities, receivership, and real estate issues.  Before creating his professional corporation, James spent four years at the Arizona Corporation Commission as Director of Regulation and was responsible for the review of all applications for securities registrations, broker dealers and securities salesmen licenses.

Prior to his work with the Arizona Corporation Commission, James spent the previous years as an auditor and a management consultant.  James performed audit services for the United States Defense Agency, the Arizona State Auditor General, and Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co.  As a management consultant, James developed the Arizona County Board of Supervisors a surplus funds investment program.  Designed to provide accounting functions as well as the ability to perform discovery and the investigation of embezzled county funds.

James obtained a bachelors degree in accounting from Arizona State University in 1970.  He is a member of the Arizona State Board of Accountancy’s Accounting and Audit Standards Committee and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  He is also affiliated with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and is a board member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Citizens Academy.  Learn more, click here!

Brian K. Sell, CPA

Brian K. Sell has been employed by James C. Sell, P.C. since 2004 as the Senior Forensic Accountant and IT Director.  Since joining the firm, Brian has provided strategic financial and economic plans to our clients.  He has created several litigation databases for Federal and State criminal matters.  Also, Brian has experience managing civil receiverships and forensic investigations for clients of the James C. Sell, P.C.

Prior to working for the firm, Brian worked 3 years with Arthur Anderson LLP as a senior staff member of their strategy finance and economics division.  Brian also interned at the Arizona Corporation Commission – Securities Division, where he assisted in examining transactions for compliance with Arizona securities rules, regulations, and statutes.

Brian obtained a bachelors degree in accountancy and a master degree in accountancy and information systems (MAIS) from Arizona State University.  He is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Brian is also affiliated with Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.  Learn more, click here!

Jane Arriaga

Nancy Stryker

Nancy Stryker has been employed with James C. Sell, P.C. since 2005, as a forensic accountant.  Previously she provided accounting and analysis for an Arizona financial securities brokerage.

In the last 5 years with James C. Sell, Nancy has worked with federal and state investigators and provided reports for the FBI, Arizona Attorney General’s Office, and the Arizona Corporation Commission.   Nancy also provides 20 years of corporate accounting experience.

Nancy obtained a bachelors degree in accountancy from DeVry University.  She also holds the position of Treasurer for the Arizona Chapter of Certified Forensic Examiners.  Nancy received her certification as a CFE in 2006.  Learn more, click here!

Steven Vo

Steve Vo is the Chief Information Officer at James C. Sell, P.C. and actively manages the  Electronic Discovery and Litigation Support at the firm.
